I’m a Learning and Development professional with experience designing new hire onboarding and continuous learning for AWS cloud support engineers. I’m passionate about designing training that solves business problems while empowering learners.
Currently, I'm exploring how user experience research (UXR) methods can strengthen learning experience design (LXD).
I manage the learning pathways of AWS Expressways, which enable internal employees to upskill into AWS cloud support engineering roles. It's exciting to help people build their own career journeys.
I have a PhD in Victorian British History but ended up in the world of big tech. When I was an academic qualitative researcher, I taught PhD-level theory and method courses, presented at numerous conferences, wrote articles, and published a book on Victorian mental models of print technology and consumer goods.
Just for fun: I'm learning Norwegian and love walks in the Washington outdoors while listening to UXR and/or Norwegian podcasts.
