About me

I’m a UX Researcher at AWS on a team that focuses on containers, Kubernetes, and high performance computing. I conduct research in support of the Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) service.

Previously, I was a Learning Experience Designer in AWS Support Engineering.

I have a PhD in Victorian British History but ended up in the world of big tech. When I was an academic qualitative researcher, I taught PhD-level theory and method courses, presented at numerous conferences, wrote articles, and published a book on Victorian mental models of print technology and consumer goods. I'm fascinated by how people make sense of the world around them and interpret their experiences with products.

Just for fun: I'm learning Norwegian and love walks in the Washington outdoors while listening to UXR and/or Norwegian podcasts.
